Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer Bourbon Vanilla Porter (AG)

Has anyone ever tried adding oak chips (toasted or new) to this brew? I have about 2oz laying around from another beer and I'm tempted to try it on this one.

    Blood Orange Hefeweizen

I was going to make this next weekend. Curious about the peels as well. Also, it looks like you used a grain bag for your rinds and pulp. How long did you leave it in the primary?

    immersion circulator

Has anyone tried using an immersion circulator to get a rolling boil going when you brew? Seems like it might be a great way to sustain a boil.

    best wine thief?

I'm thinking I want to get a wine thief for sampling my brews; I've had a really horrible time with messes and overpouring when I've tried it with the auto-siphon. Does anyone know where I can get a wine thief in Los Angeles? Alternatively, where's the best spot to get one online? Thanks, Dave

    Airlock overflow

Hi, I just had the same issue. Having a pretty vigorous ferment in there and it went straight into my airlock. It seems to have settled down for now, do I need to clean this out right away, or can I do it when I switch fermentors? The beer shouldn't be affected by this right?
