When I was doing full boils on extract kits I still followed the recipe. I think from reading here that the only thing that really changes is hop utilization. You will get more IBU's out of your hops on a full boil. At the time I was doing IPA's so that was cool with me.

Dang it. Never really thought much about it but now it is going to keep me up at night.

I say pitch. Then when it is ready just sip it slow and it will seem like you got more out of the batch.

Good Luck! This is too scary, I am too close by and this could have happened to me. The thought of possibly having to drink store bought beer is a nightmare. I am in Lynchburg and all we got was a little wind. Keep us posted on how your rebuild is going.

I have the soda stream. I think it will only carb water. I have not tried to carb up any of my ciders or beer yet because one time I had one of my sodas go flat and I tried to recarb it. Not a good idea, It spewed soda all over the kitchen. I assume the sugars in the syrup is was caused my mess...

This is my new favorite show on TV but it does seem they took a few "liberties" on this brew. Still would love to have a pint of it.
