    Can I save under-carbed bottles?

Thanks for the tip. I think I’m gonna take a case worth and uncap, drop the carbonation tab and see how it goes.. If it works out I’ll do the same to the remainder. Will definitely set in basement near a drain in case they do pop or foam! The 6 I have in my fridge I’ll just mix with another...

    Can I save under-carbed bottles?

Funny you say that.. I bought a 6pack of Great Lakes Christmas Ale and mixed it as you said- it did the trick, maybe not the perfect blend but not terrible either. I was hoping to not have to go that route but if it’s my only option I prefer that as opposed to dumping... thanks!

    Can I save under-carbed bottles?

Appreciate the reply and suggestions! I’ll pop the cap, drop the tab, re-cap and wait a few weeks! I guess in the meantime I will just have to make another batch... Seem to learn something new (the hard way) each new batch!

    Can I save under-carbed bottles?

Yeah- my plan was to naturally carb using the tabs... I guess that’s my only option at this point? Or did the original force-carbing kill off the yeast? (I apologize if that’s a dumb question) The package indicated 1 tab per 12oz bottle. Do you suggest I use more than 1? I was looking up...

    Can I save under-carbed bottles?

Hi guys- Long story short- I force carbed a 5g Pumpkin Ale keg to what I thought was 2.5 c02 volume.. Set keg in fridge, and bottled the next day using a Beer Gun... (I don’t have a kegerator unfortunately) Somehow there must have been a C02 leak in keg and it lost pressure overnight. Being...

    Blichmann QuickCarb undercarbing issue

I’m relatively new to homebrewing and it seems that every time I brew a new batch I encounter a new issue.. Last time I used the Blichmann QuickCarb to force carb a batch- it was overcarbed and I lost 1/2 the batch to foam etc... This time using the QuickCarb I somehow undercarbed the...

Foam City when using Last Straw to bottle Hefeweizen...

My line was only 6’ so that could have contributed to the issue.. After some trial and error I came to the realization that I was overcarbed a decent amount which likely led to the foam issue. I used a Blichmann QuickCarb to carb it and the beer was warmer than I wanted it when the process...

Foam City when using Last Straw to bottle Hefeweizen...

Any help would be appreciated.. I have used the Last Straw filler on a few occasions with no issues whatsoever, however I am encountering a bottle full of foam when try to fill this Hefeweizen batch.. I started with the keg at 40 degrees and bottles unchilled- resulted in entire bottle full of...

    Fast Ferment Issue

Yeah, they definitely screwed up making it so small... I had issues initially, but I had the valve closed to start, and when I opened it it’d clog. I watched a few videos from FastFerment and checked out the FAQ. They suggested tapping on the side and waiting for it to eventually fall (anywhere...

    Fast Ferment Issue

I am by no means an expert, but I do own a FastFerment and had the same issue originally.. What worked for me was keeping the valve open from the get go, before even adding the yeast.. Haven’t had an issue since- the yeast works it’s way down to the bottom of the collection ball. I installed...

Is my FastFerment causing (too) fast fermentation’s?

That makes sense. Thanks for the input. Sounds like I may be overreacting a bit, not understanding the directions completely in some of these “kits” ... Guess I’m just afraid of unwittingly screwing something up after taking all that time to brew a batch. Ultimately I guess the true test is...

Is my FastFerment causing (too) fast fermentation’s?

Thanks for the reply... Yeah, My IPA I dry-hopped so I let it sit for 5 days after fermentation stopped. But- the pumpkin and this Hefeweizen don’t call for dry-hopping so I wasn’t sure what to do. Like you mentioned, can’t hurt to let it sit and let the yeast settle out so I’m gonna do that...

Is my FastFerment causing (too) fast fermentation’s?

Hi, First time to the forum: I’ve read a bunch of posts regarding reasons for fast fermentation’s and can’t quite nail down what’s happening to mine.. I know people get pretty annoyed with the question. I apologize. I’ve made three 5 gallon batches (IPA, Pumpkin Ale, and a Bavarian...
