I would be wary of any non food labeled disposable co2 canister. Many brands that are for air rifles put a few drops of lubricant in each canister.

It'll be fine. i practically swam in my first batch and it turned out fine. I"m not suggesting it as a method though :P The worst case scenario is if you love this batch and have to sacrifice an iPhone every time you brew it :)

I'm going to add my 2 cents as long as this was bumped. Make sure your wrapping the tape around the threads the right way, if you don't they will bunch up as described above. Looking down on the firing wrap clockwise and the screwing action will tighten the tape as you put them together
