Actually, I just used l-brackets with the mounting tape. I just hit the brackets with some black gloss spraypaint first. They blend in with the freezer really well! I did just get some rare earth magnets in the mail today, but they just kind of slide down the freezer. To rectify this, I am going...
Yup! I've got five kegs in there, the 5th one hangs off the hump by about .5 inch or so, but I feel pretty safe about it.
Tap1:BIPA
Tap2:Coffee Stout
Tap3:Belgian Pale
Tap4:Seltzer
Tap5:Apfelwein
Thanks again for everything, I probably wouldn't have followed through with it if it wasn't for...
I'd use it to clean all evidence out of my carboys, so SWMBO can't see the insane amounts of beer I'll be brewing. Now just need to find a place to hide all of the kegs...........
Thanks Quaffer for the excellent blueprint. Thanks to everyone else who contributes to this thread! Here is my setup, I had forgotten to post the completed project.
I am adding a 2nd regulator for independent pressure control. I need a section of 1/4 inch left hand pipe that is left hand thread. Everything I could find local was right handed. I thought getting all of the plugs and stems out was gonna be the hardest part...
It's holding steady. The problem is when I turn the fine adjustment screw to warm it up a bit, it starts holding the temp of my water like 5-10 degrees warmer, just from a fraction of an inch turn. Maybe I'll try to make some more fine adjustments using the coarse adjustment screw.
For some reason, my fridge either sits at 35 degrees or 45 degrees. Looks like I'll be getting a live temp controller after all. At least it looks cool!
this is wonderful news! i'll start adjusting mine tonight.
also, i did push in with my finger (covered in dish soap) to smooth it out, i just didn't didn't get up as much of the excess as i wanted.
Any idea if these fit in the dip tube of a 3 gallon keg? Wasn't sure if the diameter of the dip tube is the same, and it is just the length that is different. Thanks!
also, pieceman, I have the exact same freezer as you. About how many turns of the screw did it take to get it where you wanted it? And also, does it seem to be holding a pretty stable temperature?
