    Chest Freezer Specs and Layouts

It looks like you fit two kegs on the bottom without modifying the kegs? I thought I read elsewhere in the thread that the two kegs don't fit well because the rubber bottom is larger than nine inch diameter. Did you have any issues? I just bought one today at Best Buy for $150 but I haven't...

White House Honey Ale - adding more honey

I'm also curious about this. I brewed it last week and it is currently in the fermenter. I had a feeling that the honey wouldn't really stand out being that it is only a pound and is added during the boil.

    Carbing for Black and Tans

Yeah, I am looking at those. So does anyone know if kegs leak at that low of a pressure?

    Carbing for Black and Tans

That's what I did use to calculate my pressure. When I enter 1.8 vols of CO2, and a Keg Temp of 33 F, the recommended keg pressure is 1.9 psi. That just doesn't seem realistic. Or maybe the process is that efficient at a lower temperature, but I don't think the keg will seal correctly without...

    Carbing for Black and Tans

I just kegged my EPA and Irish Dry Stout this evening. I've been doing some research while the kegs are sitting at 30psi for the first 24 hours. I trying to find out what the correct PSI should be for these beers. I'm thinking 2.0 vols for the EPA and 1.8 for the stout should be about right...

    Kegging Guiness

I'm kegging my first Guinness clone tomorrow, any advice on CO2 pressure? I'm not messing with Nitrogen at all.

    Air in my Beer Line

Thank you very much! I'll try that out.

    Air in my Beer Line

I seem to have an over-foaming issue. I have my keg sitting at about 12 psi, and when I want to pour a few beers, I turn it down to about 3 psi and bleed the keg to reduce pressue. I've notice the there are a lot of bubbles in my beer supply line. Does anyone know what would cause this? The...

    N00B @ kegs

I don't think it works that way, as the CO2 dissolves into the beer, you lose the pressure head on the beer. As an example, the dissolving process might equalize with the beer absorbing enough CO2 to leave only 5 psi of pressure head on the beer, and stop there. Meaning you won't be getting...

    My Biggest Mistake Yet!

Well this was a fun one. A couple weeks ago I started residing my house, and in my garage I had to turn off the power. Fast forward two weeks, I open the beer fridge to check on everything and find mold everywhere and beer had leaked out of the keg into my bottom drawer. Wtf... I'm certain...

I forgot the lid to the airlock!!

The lid only keeps bugs out, air is free to move in and out of the top of the airlock, thus so is germs.

    Too long in the fermenter???

I left my lager in the primary for two months, then three months in the secondary... probably overkill but it was excellent.

Just finished reading this thread (over a couple days). Thanks to everyone, especially Bobby, for all the great info. I just kegged my first batch this week and am excited to try it fully carbed!
