Where to buy Westvleteren in BE

Yeah, beer supplies at In De Vrede are very limited. If you want to buy a beer to drink at the bar you'll be fine, but if you're after the few six-packs of beer that they sell to take away, it's much harder to say when they'll be available. They had a few packs when I went in September, though...

    Westy 12

For what it's worth, the guy on the beer phone speaks excellent English, and is also a very friendly chap, so language isn't a problem. I bought a crate of Westy 12 last year, though I was surprised to discover when I got to the monastery that it's actually in a Flemish-speaking area. It seemed...

    HBT NFL mock draft '10

Just a heads-up guys - from this evening I'm going to be away from the internet for a week. So unless there's a crazy flurry of picks in the next couple of hours :D I won't be able to make the #61 pick for the Jets. I don't know who'll still be on the board for them by then, but any...

Well, since the trade it's Denver's pick now. So when #43 comes round, I guess that means you're on the clock. :mug:

Making a hop tea for dry hopping

Re: that thread - for what it's worth, somewhere deep in that thread, I did a side-by-side comparison of dry hopping and making a hop tea, and I really thought the dry-hopped version was better. Or to present it more accurately, I thought the hop tea version was worse. The hop tea beer (which...

Interesting piece from Wes Bunting on NFP, titled "Five Prospects Who Aren't Worth The Love". He slates (my pick) Sergio Kindle, plus McCoy, Golden Tate and a couple of others: http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Five-prospects-who-arent-worth-the-love.html Bunting's evaluation of...

I'm looking forward to seeing how Bill Belichick will swing some trades so he can turn all his second-round picks into even more second-round picks. He loves second-round picks like a fat kid loves cake.

With the 33rd pick of the 2010 NFL draft, the St Louis Rams select Jared Odrick, DL, Penn State. It was tempting to take a wideout like Arrelious Benn here, but I think Odrick's the value pick, and his versatility should really help them out on the D-line.

The Jets are up already? Wow. Ok - Vernon Gholston is going to come good any day now. But just to tie the Jets' pass-rush over until then, they will use the 29th pick to select Jerry Hughes, OLB/DE, TCU.

    Sounds fair to me.

The Falcons are next up. They've helped their secondary through free agency, so the big needs as I see it are their pass rush and interior O-line. As far as I can make out, Falcon fans are really keen on LB Sean Weatherspoon, though I think that's largely based on the assumption that he'll be...

Graham would be a great pick for them, though I'm hoping when the real thing comes round that he slides to the Pats at #22. I'm finding it really hard to get any sense of how these hybrid LB/DEs compare with each other. There doesn't seem to be any consensus from the analysts - Pat Kirwan's...

OK, I'd vote for Miami to take Bryant. With the McNabb trade, it seems a fairly even deal to me. He's obviously a big upgrade over Campbell, and seems a good fit for the system Shanahan's going to run. That said, he can't have many seasons left in him, and with such a deep draft this year...
