I kegged a Belgian Dark and it smells delicious. Fermented it with WLP530 and let it sit for a month. It came in at ~8.5%. I was originally planning on bottling it, but my buddy's birthday is in a few weeks and I thought it would make a nice "party favor" :tank:
I have always racked the beer onto dry hops in a secondary which I swirl every couple days until botling.
For those adding dry hops in primary, are you also swirling the hop bag around to get even dry hop flavor through the beer? Are you stirring up the yeast cake as well?
I really love the difference in clarity I have with my all grain beers.
My pale beers (Kolsch, Pale Ale) come out looking amazing with all grain as opposed to the "slightly cloudy" look from partial mash.
Started with a Burton Baton, moved on to a Sculpin, and now I am finishing up with my Sir Winston English Barleywine.
Not tired in the least bit. It might be a rough morning though :)
Paul McCartney & Wings-Band on the Run (album)
Looking back, it's funny how I never was in to the Beatles/Wings/etc in high school & college and then when I turned 30-it all made sense
"There are some who call me....Tim?" Great movie!
*Edit-seems kind of a silly post after all of the great info posted on this thread lol
Welcome to HBT
My information was not hacked by Midwest, however, I do have to say I am grateful for being part of a home brewing community like HBT that keeps people informed of issues like this.
I was actually going to place an order with MW, but I am now going to wait until a sound response is given from...
I have a tiny radio I keep tuned into classic rock and try to clean while I brew.
I drink during brew sessions in cold weather, but I could not imagine drinking while brewing in the summer-I was pounding water last Saturday!
