I made a washer out of flat bar aluminum. It makes a larger footprint for the nut up against the refrigerator door. I was able to tighten enough to have no movement in my faucet.

I am new to adjusting my brew water and today was the first time I needed to use calcium carbonate. I noticed my water was very cloudy after adding it. Almost like it never fully dissolved. Will this affect the clarity of the finished product.

Yes it is post fermentation and no dry hop. I just tasted it today and it seems to be subsiding. Maybe it was just too green. However it was a very light beer and very mild hops.

I just tasted my first beer from my new brutus 10 style brew stand. The beer has a grainy almost grassy taste. The only thing i can think is that the taste is from tannins. I don't know if it is from a constant recirculation during the entire mash. The only other thing i could think of was over...

No i am not running the brewers hardware regulator. I didn't think it would handle the btu's of the two burners. I purchased a 2 stage reg. rated at 160,000 but.
No, I haven't even put a pot on yet. They should be getting plenty of oxygen. I'm using the burner mounts from brewers hardware and the back half is completely open.

I think I will give that a try tomorrow. I also didn't know if it makes a difference with a pot on top of the burner or not. Thanks

I posted this under DIY originally and thought I would try my luck here. I just finished a Brutus 10 style brew stand with banjo burners (Bg-14). It is automated with Honeywell 8200 valve and standing pilot lights. The problem is that when the controller shuts the burner off I get a loud pop...
