Chili's, Cocoa nibs, cinnamon, oh my!

When using dried chilies for hot sauces, I toast them lightly on a hot skillet. Get a skillet nice and hot then add your chilies, press down on them with a spatula for a few seconds till you see a lil puff of smoke. This brings out more rich flavors.

!. Beginner: A person who can follow a recipe make a few mistakes and make beer. 2. Intermediate: A person who can follow a recipe maybe make one mistake and make consistent drinkable beer. 3. Advanced: A person who can follow a recipe make no mistakes. Make great beer very consistently...

Possibly a silly question - but I gotta ask it.

Just like others have said it isnt necessary to have a sealed container with a air lock to make (beer), but it is recommended. A container with a air lock reduces the chance of wild yeast and contaminants from entering your beer and changing the flavor profile. It also slows down the process of...

Newbie wants to try lagers as first brew..Advice needed

If you want to brew a AG brew use a BIAB do a no sparge. It is easy there's nothing complicated about it. After you do your mash its just like extract brewing. The problem like others have said is fermentation temps for a Lager. Until you can muster up some bucks for a mini fridge and a temp...
