I too am addicted to Houblon Chouffe Dobbelen IPA. I followed this recipe and found it to be pretty close. A bit too much amarillo hops, but since I absolutly love those hops, it didn't bother me.

As far as proplyene glycol goes it appears that it is used to add texture and foam

also it is know to absorb oxygen in water, this would affect the yeast negatively
