Blowout, now no signs of fermentation

Reached final gravity no problem, just letting yeast clean up after itself, then to keg. Thanks for the feedback.

Blowout, now no signs of fermentation

Thanks all for the reassuring responses. Yes it's a bucket, but seems to be sealed tight. Using WY - 1010 American Wheat. Haven't check gravity yet, wouldn't normally at only 30hours. I will take advice...and repost with outcome.

Blowout, now no signs of fermentation

Brewing a wheat beer for a special event. After only 12 hours, I had signs of fermentation, a few bubbles a second. Checked again on day two and had a foaming mess all over the top of my fermenter and on the floor. I usually only use a blow off tube on bigger beers, this was only 1.049. I...

Question on leaking ball lock keg

Tapered spring needs to be installed correctly, wide side down. Check your O-ring, replace if you have one and don't over tighten. Not much else it could be, if dip tube is in good shape. Connections to the liquid out should not matter.

    NEIPA secondary fermentor issue

I am definitely ditching the secondary...thanks to everyones consistent feedback! I also have to admit i over reacted on the color change. Looked fine at transfer to keg....tapped the keg yesterday and it turned out fine.

Nice touch with the wood laminate, makes it suitable for any room in the house! Going to leverage that idea, when I get around to building my own.

    NEIPA secondary fermentor issue

Haven't heard that.....not sure I would call it a lot of flaked oats. One of the tweaks I made to the recipe was to increase base malt, so flaked oats addition actually went down from 8%, to about 7%.

    NEIPA secondary fermentor issue

Using a couple of racking wands thru the carboy cap (2 port plastic cappers). Harder to describe without pics, than actually do. Its a simple daisy chain setup. I run a slow stream of CO2 to the top of the primary in one side of the plastic capper. On the other side of the primary cap I have...

    NEIPA secondary fermentor issue

I have read a lot lately, secondary is likely a waste of time for the typical home brewer. Just stuck in my old ways I guess and haven't pulled the trigger on dry hopping in primary. The only possible way I can see oxidation is if I had contamination in my CO2 supply. It's a brand new tank...

    NEIPA secondary fermentor issue

Anyone see this before? I have brewed a few juicy style NEIPA all were good and held their color even after 8 weeks in the keg. I only made some minor tweaks to recipe but this one turned on me, a day after transferring to secondary. I had a beautiful hazy yellow/orange color in primary and...
