    When to add fruit flavoring?

haha I like the Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. BTW I called Northern Brewer (that is where I got the kit) and they said I could add it to eithier the secondary or the keg it didn't really matter.

    When to add fruit flavoring?

Thanks... this sounds like a good idea. On the bottle it says Natural Fruit Flavoring. it is 4 fl oz. I think I will add 2-3 oz into the secondary. Then when I keg it taste test it and see if I should add more. Clay

    When to add fruit flavoring?

I am making a cherry stout, and the instructions say to add the cherry fruit flavoring into bottling bucket. Well I am going to keg it, so should I put it into the keg while I am kegging it, or should I put it into the secondary, primary, or wort? I am assuming I would put it into the keg...

Thanks for the input Walker!! It has been six days since I last tasted it, and I had to pop open another to confirm what type of burnt taste it was. I would say that is has mellowed out a little. I hope it will mellow out even more in time. Thanks again!!!!

    Weizenbock... burnt taste???

Yes it was an extract. I shut the burner off and moved it to another burner on the stove per the instructions when I added the extract. Stirred it well and had a thermometer measuring the temp around 150-160 degrees. I thought that it might be the extract burning but I guess I am just...

    Weizenbock... burnt taste???

My Weizenbock has a strong burnt taste after you drink it. Does anyone know what might have caused that? I read Palmer's book on off tastes but this doesn't seem to be one of them in the book. Thanks
