    Vintage bench capper?

We bought this bench capper at an antique store, not because we intended to use it necessarily, but we do like old things (for example, we have plenty of old wooden ships wheels or microscopes that we pick up at antique malls to use as bookends, etc). Starter equipment kit recommendations?

Steeping Grains- What to do with the dust?

When using the cheesecloth-like bag that comes with the kits we've used, there is a -ton- of dust that gets all over. We've since used a nylon grain bag, and no dust escapes, so I certainly hope it doesn't do any harm since it all ends up in the wort.

    Abv

Thanks! My husband was concerned that after using a hydrometer for the first time it wouldn't even give an accurate ABV.

    Label Glue

My husband and I make very simple labels on parchment paper that wrap around the entire bottle and are secured with a piece of double-sided tape. Very easy to remove afterwards. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v496/Chrysee/DSCF1135.jpg

Will the alcohol content be higher after carbonating in the bottle than the final gravity reading taken prior to bottling?
