    Cheap compact wort pump

I went this route for the PWM. I have 24v pump http://m.ebay.com/itm/261678264066?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&_mwBanner=1 Used it twice without issue. No noise at any percentage and u can control it from 1-100%. Only "issue" I guess is if you turn pump on when it is set below X% (X% depends...

    What just happened?

Here r some pics. First is the new switch. Sorry, the "plugs into outlet" should have been plugs into switch. The new switch has holds in the back for the wire. Insert wire and tighten screw. No connector needed. One of the connectors I used is still on the old switch. Hope these help.

    What just happened?

10g wire and the little fork connectors. I am not using connectors for this switch since the wire plugs into outlet. After replacing the ssr and switch yesterday I ran a test session with just water (45 min mash hour boil) and everything went fine. Then I made an actual batch and it went...

    What just happened?

I am hoping this is what it is. It wasn't a household switch it was a cheap toggle with rubber boot. Just replaced with 30 2 pole house type switch. Line in connected to bottom 2 screws. Load out connected to top 2. Here we go again. Unfortunately I only have a 25a ssr on hand. This will get...

    What just happened?

So I finally got all on my equipment together and ran the auto tune for my pid which went fine (I think, temp held at 154 when set at 150 for almost an hour but felt hotter to touch than 154 so I will get thermo tomorrow to test it against). I put it in manual mode to bring to boil. Around...

    Electric BIAB system

A little more progress. Slowly but surely. Bottom right is for the dpst switch for the element. Still waiting on it. Gotta figure out how to cut top left plate to install pid. Top right is switch and fuse for pid. Bottom left is switch and fuse for ssr fan (didn't mean to do fuse. Wired it in...

    Electric BIAB system

What Guage of wire should I use to connect the power to the PID? I am using a 4 wire 240 . The only thing the neutral will connect to with my set up is the PID and I don't imagine I should hook up a 10ga wire to the PID. Thanks

    Random thought.

1 pound in 5 gallons. OMG. I thought 5 oz was a lot. I may get there some day though. I planted a Chinook and cascade plant this spring. If those do well (they r only 6" tall in over a month for some reason) I will plant more so I don't have to spend 2-3$ an oz. I understand the new equipment...
