    Hop Grenade

Wort hopping.......hmmm....how ...original. Isn't that what I did?????? Do you mean hop mashing? I don't belive it exists.;)

Myformula was as follows: Throw the entire amount of first year hops into the boiling wort. However bitter it gets is all you will get.;) Sorry, but I actually did not want to weigh my meager harvest. I used pilsen malt for the first time on a whim, and some fresh hops. You can taste...

Then.....it would be a bit hoppier! Right on. And we now know that those dry hopped....hops can be used for the next batches 60 minute bittering! Good Call!

    Dark Ales

I am a relative noob. I have experimented to this point with good success. My last ale was a stout. .5 lbs of roasted and .5 lbs of black patent with .5 lb of crystal and 3lbs of light DME. Galena hops, etc. After aging, it is great. What is the basic difference between these two malts...

    Harvest Ale Ideas

It is almost impossible to infect fermented beer. Almost. That is why dry hopping has never (any who object speak now...) resulted in an infection. Would isomerization occur in merely hot water? The BYO article did specify to use a little DME. I would almost certainly have forgotten...

    Greater Hop Utilization

Fermentation carries some of the flavor and aroma out of the beer. That is why people dry hop in the secondary.

Hops are a preservative, but I guess there is a chance.
