I've used that brand's blueberry puree in secondary and was pleased with it. I racked a blonde ale on top of it and it was very subtle tasting. It did give it a nice color.
I guess I made a cardinal mistake when i "ass"umed the chips would float. I'll check it at 7 days and just go from there. I guess another thing is I am calling them chips, but they are a little smaller than sugar cube sized.
Sorry to bring up an old post, bust i can see my oak chips laying on the bottom in the trub. Will it still impart the flavor of the oak if they are buried?
I was going to suggest Negra Modelo for a stubby bottle. They are pop tops (as opposed to twist off, I guess) so i would think they would work with a wing-capper

Well I FINALLY got around to brewing mine. It's in the primary now, and when it gets to the secondary, I'm going to introduce it to rum soaked oak chips.
I found this review on the AHB page. Does adding the American Honey sound like a good idea? I'm new to brewing (have only made one batch, and that was last weekend) and think i may make this one this weekend.
