    Does anyone know where I can find a Smuttynose Brewing Co.'s Old brown dog Ale extract kit at? I would like to make this my next batch. :)

    I seen a few videos doing this saying it was a small example of the fermentation.... hmm. Could be a load of crap. This is my first time using this method so I was curious.

    I Keep the sample in a 12oz. bottle once I've taken my reading, then store it next to the fermenter so I can get readings without constantly opening the bucket exposing the batch. :mug:

    I use the northern brewer essential kit. I like it, if that helps any. Also if I want to upgrade all I have to do is order a carboy!

    New to the home brewing scene, Just put my first batch in the primary (Irish red ale). Did alot of reading and looking foward to using you guys for lots of information. oh yeah, I never thought fermenting beer would smell so good!
