    3V-Induction System

I have been using induction for probably 5 years now. I have two Avantco 240V induction plates with two 10gal kettles. I mount a pump directly on each kettle. One kettle for mashing, one kettle for boil. I don't use a plate chiller anymore. I find them to hard to clean. I use a Jaded...

    When to add immersion chiller

When cleaning up, I drain the water out of the chiller and hose off thoroughly with hot water. Every few batches I will soak in PBW and then do an acid wash. I will start dropping it in at around 5 minutes.

    When to add immersion chiller

@hotbeer No, i clean it thoroughly after each batch. it sits under a towel until needed again. If all i need is a minute or two to sanitize, i will just start dropping it in just about at flameout, and let let it sit for a minute or two before I starting chilling. thanks all.

    When to add immersion chiller

I brew using two 3500w (240v) Avantco Induction plates. When I brew, usually with 15 minutes left in the boil, I will put my immersion chiller in the boil pot to get it sanitized before chilling. When I insert the chiller, the temperature of the wort usually drops between 4 and 6 degrees, and...

    Tilt calibration problem

I have found that if you have an aggressive fermentation, yeast and troob will collect on the top of the tilt and throw it off as well.

    Regulator maintenance

Maybe just unscrew the gauge from the regulator and put it in a bag of rice for a week. That should draw the moisture out.

    NEIPA dry hop question

I could do either. I am currently at ferment day 2. Just added 2oz hops. In three more days I plan to add another oz of hops for 2 or days and the cold crash.

Flaked oats or flaked wheat for a NEIPA

I just brewed an NEIPA and I used malted oats and torrified wheat. I was originally planning flaked wheat, but had the torrified and wanted to used it up.

    NEIPA dry hop question

I am fermenting in a pressurized stainless vessel with a spunding valve. Will that suffice?

    NEIPA dry hop question

Great. That makes things easier. Thanks

    NEIPA dry hop question

For all you NEIPA brewers, when you dry hop do you just throw the hops right in the fermenter, or do you use a hop bag?

Thanks JimRausch. Still working on cleaning and acid washing all my stuff. But I think I am there with you on the "Never brewing a Belgian or Saison again"

Viability of Using a Dishwasher’s Sanitize Setting

Thanks JimRausch. I have pretty much confirmed that I have a diastaticus yeast issue. I ordered all new plastic for my system, buckets, tubing, etc. I autoclaved all my stainless parts and I am waiting for the acid wash concentrate to show up at Tractor Supply. Once I have that I will acid...
