I might get flamed here but why can't you dilute it down with clean bottled water. Calculate what you should add to get to your original planned og or even just half way there. Even just .25 gallons might be enough to bring down the sg and alcohol levels to get the yeast working again a nd...
Strange? Either they changed their recipe or I'm going crazy. When I had it last year, I remember the taste of Munich and thinking "that's interesting for a blond/ gold" I even looked up the beer on their site and it listed Munich at the time. It doesn't list it anymore. Sounds good either...
I did but it was a disaster. Pretty sure I extracted tannins from too high a ph and over bittered. I'm actually thinking of trying again for my next brew now that I have my system dialed in a little better.
What little I could tell from the first brew I needed more Munich, less bitterness...
I just kegged my Belma and Columbus ipa. The uncarbed sample tasted promising. Definitely getting a little strawberry mixed with Columbus flavor and i kind of like it. Tasted maybe a little sweet. Og 1.064 fg 1.014... A little high. I used .8 oz at 60 minutes and the bitterness is smooth. Of...
If you have had bj's jermiah red that one is pretty good and strong. 7% or so. There are a few threads on here. Its on my to do list. Here is one thread

Thanks for the response. I was debating upping the ibus so that sounds good. I'm hoping for a little flavor from Belma so I can test it out but I was hoping the cascade and Columbus could support it. I'll keep tweaking until I brew in a couple of days.
Recipe? What's your alpha acid. I assume we all have the same 12.1. Havent used it yet but I'm planning an ipa this week. Right now I'm thinking .8 oz at 60 min for about 30 ibus initially. Curious of your recipe. Maybe I should up mine now.
People make banana wine. From what I hear it's close to flavorless.maybe like a dry white wine?? I know a lot of people will add a small portion of bananas to fruit wine to add thickness and body. As far as cooking and mashing them.....good luck. :ban:
Just to update... I racked it to a keg today. Og1.054. Fg 1.015. NOT very sweet at all thank goodness. You guys had me worried. Tasted good considering. Will update in a few weeks when it's carbed.
