    ok, so i made an apricot beer. I added purreed apricots to my primary fermentor, does the yeast act on the sugars from the purree (and the liquid the apricots were in) and convert it to alcohol?

    yea, i just bottled my first beer last wednesday. I snuck a taste, and I enjoyed it. I noticed the "green" taste...i'm guessing thats from hops?

    Okay so I have alot of empty wine bottles and their corks laying around (im not a slob lol, i do alot of oil painting so I need things for still lifes) After cleaning and sanitizing, can i prime and condition beer in a wine bottle and just pop a cork in there?

    1st brew disaster?

    I just cooked up my first wort yesturday, i was REALLLLY suprised how much the foam rises up. It's funny how after reading so many warnings about this I was still caught off guard. I didnt boil over, but it came close.

    Ok, so I'm new to the whole brewing thing. and ive been trying to find a recipe for the ommegang abbey ale, and I keep finding the same one, and it keeps saying 28 degrees. does that mean conditioning at 28 degrees farenheit? Isnt that really cold? like, put it in the freezer cold?
