A week has passed since bottling. Grapefruit flavor is nice but no trace of ginger that I can detect. Hmmm ... I wonder how Shiner manages to do it? Next time I am going to try not boiling the ginger at all. Hopefully fresh ginger root won't be a high contamination risk.
