I just bought some, but I'm in for more.

How much beer is too much?

There are certainly concepts regarding the additional substances - but I was referring to the ethanol itself - consumption in general is associated with better outcomes (in the aforementioned moderation). So we can't feel too bad about beer over wine on most occasions.

How much beer is too much?

As a matter of fact, it is taught in a major, reputable US medical school that 1-2 drinks per day for a woman and 1-3 drinks per day for a man actually has been shown in increase health and survival. More tends to tip the curve in the opposite direction, but for some reason, the alcohol is...

    Worst Cooks in America

Way back in the day of my freshman year of college - some moron set off the fire alarm at 3AM during exam week trying to make ... EASY MAC. Yes, he couldn't figure out the microwave version of mac 'n cheese. I'd hope it's just blind ambition putting these people on TV, but I saddly admit, I...

    buying a freezer question??

I agree - either it is relatively new and has a leak or it is old and you will find it difficult to find the matching coolant (older coolant has been phased out due to environmental regs).

    I don't care if it's 9:42 am

Pretty sure that cartoon works - how much is an engineer worth? Hope the drinking and problems solving went well. And only now did I just wonder why a statics (or technically solids) problem is involved in organic chemistry....

Man, materials was fun. Also the source of one of the greatest epipharies - based on crystal structure, the best packing method to maximize the number of beers you can fit into a cooler is with Hexagonal Close Packed.

don't need it - area drops out and mass can be solved for using the original length, density and the area (why it drops out when yo solve for the force). F=YalphaQc/rhoL0 Granted - I am out of engineering for the past 3yrs and in the middle of a nephrotic syndrome lecture while I am running...

Consider it this way - a fixed bar is being pulled from one side (pick a wall and consider that one what is 'pulling') with the force that you have laid out with your known equations (you provided enough info to solve for it when you typed it out - plug and play, my friend). I miss statics.

    I don't care if it's 9:42 am

Those were the days... we were nerds with alcohol - amazing the jokes we came up with. A bottle and book - dangerous combination.

All in all, beer for breakfast is a good idea. But DO NOT pregame for class and then take one in a to-go cup. Seriously, when you run out, a droning Ochem professor and the post-beer sleepieness is too much to bear. Not sayin'... just sayin'.

    Hello from NC !!!

Hello from down the street (most likely), also in Winston-Salem. I've also been curious about the homebrew club that meets at Foothills (I practically live at City Bev) - I've been meaning to go, but I thought they met only the last thursday of every month?

    Adding to a Kit

That was my guess for the hops. The LME and DME should suffice without a partial mash though? I'm trying to get my feet wet with the partial mash but worry that I overdo it at times...

    Adding to a Kit

I got UK First Gold pellets and First Gold whole leaf hops. Also, she doesn't know - just that pilsner style is something she likes (we had a german style at out local brew pub and a czech at our previous local - both were good in her eyes). I am looking to tackle the challenege of the...
