Brulosophy Podcast: if Jersey and Tim were my neighbors I would move.

I dig your post and totally support the culling of Jersey and Tim. I think they are upstaging us Brew Crew members and cannot stand it. I give them ZERO Jersey & Tims. The segment is completely an eye poke to stodgy beer curmudgeons. J & T are great dudes who do not take themselves too...

    Mark 2 Keg Washer

Great was searching for one of these and for some reason nothing came up on my search. I did find a few on ebay and was just about to pull the trigger - great info and glad the link still works! Cheers, Malcolm

Schlafly Pumpkin Ale clone attempt... sorta

You suggested that they use a different technique for pumpkin (squash) additions - any further info there? Different how? Boiled? Secondary? Etc? Someone also suggested somewhere they used pumpkin juice....

Does bottling kill/inhibit a lacto infection?

Cadilla Candy is mean. I dislike her anyway.

    ESB vs IPA

That may be true but I know I know I've seen one or two over there on my last trip. Perhaps many do not use the term b/c it was trademarked and they don't want the brand confusion. Thames Welsh ESB (Felinfoel Brewery) comes to mind. I think the ESB trademark expired or at least partially...

    ESB vs IPA

I wonder if Redhook ESB, Flying Fish ESB, . Bridgeport ESB, Bachelor ESB - Deschutes Brewing, Boont ESB - Anderson Valley Brewing, The Wise ESB - Elysian Brewing etc....know that they cannot use the term?

    Star San Spray bottle

I second the aprx 30 ml per 5 gallon (29.57ml ~ 1 fluid ounce). 5 gallons = 18.9271 liters or 19 liters. So ~ 6ml per gallon, 3 ml per 1/2 gallon.... 1.5 ml per quart. or 1.6 ml per liter. That's as small as I would go to measure accurately. But as Scut says - you really only know if you...

Too much Amarillo Dry-Hop: A Cautionary Tale

I agree wholeheartedly with Tim above. I often use Amarillo & Citra 1oz ea in a 5 gal batch. Dry hop in a bag in the keg - taste every day after a week.

Czech Premium Pale Lager Pilsner Urquell knockoff

Yeah, I actually prefer units of 10 (100, 1000, etc). I like to tease people about metric b/c most people who prefer the "English System" do so out of, not just familiarity, but pride as well. In the brewing world I've been making attempts to get a feel for a kg, a ml, a degree C, and Plato...

Czech Premium Pale Lager Pilsner Urquell knockoff

I stopped reading when I saw the C's, P's and kg's.... Why not make the boil times metric too! Whats a 90 minute boil in metric? like 37.476 minutes?

Cheap & Easy 10 Gallon Rubbermaid MLT Conversion

I built a nearly identical set up - but use a Phil's Phalse Bottom and Fly Sparge Arm. The parts list was very helpful - so I thank you for all the work you put into this, FlyGuy. When I built my first one (just a MT- nearly 8 yrs ago) I spent hours and did lots of driving back and...
