    Ring around bottle neck

Does a ring around a bottle neck mean my beer is infected? I cant remember if palmer of papazian said that is what it means. I have a batch that turned out great soon after bottling. Now about 3 months later it has a ring around the neck? Maybe that is normal? I havent tasted it since it...

    Brown Bottles smell after baking

I bake mainly because it is so easy. I clean the bottles immediately after I pour the beer. then when time comes all I do is pop them in the oven. I used to try and use the rinse with sanitizer method and it is a big pain. Its just easier for me is all.

    Brown Bottles smell after baking

Yes. I cover the bottles with a small piece of foil. Put them all in while the oven is cold! turn it on to 350 while bottles are already in there. once it hits 350, let them bake for 1 hour. after the 1 hour, leave the bottles in the oven to cool off slowly along with the oven. Dont open...

    Brown Bottles smell after baking

Hey all, I use the baking method to sterilize my brown bottles. It works great for me. However, it makes them smell very very bad. Does anyone else notice this? No why that is or if it effects beer. I havent noticed any effect but that doesnt mean it doesnt change flavor/aroma.

    Lost my HOPS...

I dry hopped with 1 oz cascade in the secondary. It had awesome flavor and aroma at first. I tried serving it a bit warmer and it didnt help much. now just the bitterness shines through. How much dry hops do I need?

Thats definitely interesting, i will have to go to woorpooling from now on. Did the chill haze affect the flavor of your brews after time.

    Lost my HOPS...

I recently brewed a pale ale. Actually it was an Anchor Liberty clone from AHB. It turned out delicous! After carbing it tasted great for up to 2 weeks. Now, after about 1 month there is little to no hop flavor or aroma...WHAT gives? It has chill haze, does that matter?
