Dextrose is usually ground significantly finer than PBW, which tends toward coarse. Just mix a small amount with water if you're still not sure; The PBW will feel slimey, dextrose not so much.. plus; in cold water the dextrose will dissolve much faster.

You should replace that key-ring between the 2 keys with a 10AWG key-ring. :ban:

Is there a heatsink on the back of the unit? I can see the element power coming out of some 30A relays plugged into DIN rail mounts, but I can't see any feed from a Solid State Relay. I can see an old Radio Shack proto board, but can't identify the components... I really hope someone didn't...

It's very dark in the case... think you could light it up and take some more pictures? I don't see a single SSR or heatsink and can't read anything on the components. Is this unit complete? Did you buy it new/used or DIY?

If you can get one for cheap and you don't mind the extra work to get it properly purged, it may do what you want it to... like I said; doesn't work for me, but I've read others who love it. Have you considered the smaller 'beer buddy' type filters...
