Cool, thanks. I like the idea of a big dark beer with lots of hops at the end/dry. I'll have to pick up a bottle of hop heaven tomorrow and see how that makes me feel.
I've done hop infused pickles before. Very interesting, but I don't think I will be making them again.
Hello everyone,
I got a deal I couldn't pass up for a lb of last year's Columbus when I'd already ordered a lb of this years harvest. I have been using it like crazy and it's still coming out of my ears. Does anyone have suggestions or recipes for "creative" ways to use Columbus. Iv'e made...
Not sure, there are a good number of specialty grocery stores in town so I was hopping to find them fresh as I have read that the pits add a nice woody character. However it may be more likely that I will end up using the canned Oregon brand Red Tart Cherry.
Hey, So I just put this recipe for a cherry stout together. I am hoping to brew it this weekend, but this is my first stout so I would appreciate your comments. Thanks.
Brew Type: Partial Mash
Style: American Stout
Brewer: Palace
Batch Size: 5.25 gal
Boil Volume: 3.00 gal
Boil Time: 60...
Would not mind knowing how this brew came out if you can remember. Did you get the hop flavor you were looking for. My parents live in Texas now, picked up a six of the full moon rye pale ale over holiday and now I'm hooked on it.
Hey, I'm new to partial mash. What do you mean by "this assumes a full boil"? I did all the calculations to use liquid extract as it is lying around. Should I boil the mashed wort for 30min before adding the extract and starting another 60min of boil with the hops?
Thanks!
