I have been brewing for less than two years, all of my 12+ brews were extract recipes. I have always built my own recipes or adjusted from things I have found online or here.
Almost every single brew I had was in its way "good". I enjoyed it, people complimented it and basically had a good time...
Hi everybody,
I usually do extract ales, and this time after getting a ferm chamber I want to give my first lager a go! Help will be appreciated
im planning of having a 17Liter batch

another update
i just hit the keg again, this time had a cooler with a bunch of ice stacked on top and on the sides, beer was as cool as it was in the past. The 12ft beer line spooled inside the keg got it to have just the right amount of foam. everybody enjoyed.
So to answer anyone who is...
hey everybody
so a quick update
i ordered a 100mm beer shank, 5mmID beerline of 3.5M and hooked it all up to my cooler and put it to the test.
Now theres controlable foaming! since a cooler will always have warmer parts than having everything inside a fridge, the only way to reliably have a...
Hey everybody,
I have a mini 5liter, flow control tap directly attached to the keg. trying to serve a 2.5 vol carbed ale using 12psi and getting excesive foaming only when i am serving in a cooler. i have served a perfect pour directly from my fridge (as in the tap was also cold) and...
sorry for not replying to all you brewers, had a busy time.
decided to go for the fridge per your advice, gonna find a temp control module and a small chest freezer that has room for 1 ferm bucket and some brews.
Even if I will probably only turn it on for like 3-4 days a month?
Unless layering, you only really truly need temp control s when you are in high krausen right? The rest of the time is aging and even 30 celcius room temp won't effect flavors too much. As far as I understand.
hey everybody
i live in a small apartment with limited space and need to decide whats the better option.
i brew maybe 1-2 times a month, sometimes just once.
Should I buy a mini-fridge, that will be used mainly for fermentation (meaning it wont be used most of the time), or is it better just...
Hey everybody
I got a 5 liter kegland keg, with their core regulator and a fc tap.
My tap is connected directly to the keg, no beer line.
I tried making a few pours and they are Allright but I don't feel as if I have any control over them.
For example my beer is currently at 4c and I tried...
thank you all for the answers.
Since I did not mention before, i do extract beers with steeping grains and top off water. i have about 12-15 total beers i have done and out of them I would say 9 were perfect, in the sense that they kept the prime taste for about 2-3 months, they had a nice...
companies want to sell yeast nutritionals, so obviously they say its a must. brulosophy couldnt find any difference between using and not using.
aeration-> some on the forum say its overrated, some say its a must. brulosophy couldnt find a difference between shaking and pure O2.

my local store sells them in plastic bags. which rip fairly easily. The same with dextrose. I guess last time I used it I had to change to a plastic bag from my closet and I did not label at all.
