I grew up in Pensacola and I know which Quonset hut(s) (seems like it may have been two of them) you're talking about. Seems like it was a health food store when I was a kid in the 90's.
I like it, I've been meaning to do an all First Gold bitter. 10% sugar, invert or even cane sugar could help get you a little more attenuation if you want. That's what I would do anyway.
You could make something like an English Bitter with the pale ale malt and maybe a little Munich or Biscuit. Ferment with S-04. Which English hops do you have?
Too quiet in here.... Drinking a mild, kind of a kitchen sink recipe. This is the first time I've used S-04 in years, I think the esters are pretty nice.
I'm having a problem with my old (2012 or 2013) MW-102. I get the display in the picture below when I turn it on. Sometimes it will switch to the normal pH reading and sometimes it freezes on this screen and it can't be turned off without disconnecting the battery. I'm not finding anything...
Farmhouse Brewing is a decent spot for hops, they have the more common ones like EKG, Fuggle, Challenger and Target. I ended up having to buy a pound of First Gold from Hop Alliance when I couldn't get it anywhere else.
