    really miller?

It makes you wonder who their marketing team consists of? "hey bro, got a real problem with regular cans bro." "whys that bro?" "broseph, it's too hard to shotgun, man." .... And thus, the punch top can is born. If I ever see anyone opening the punch top for another guy in public they are...

Question of sanitation in aggressive fermentation and lots of Krausen!

But then I wouldn't have a vessel to contain all the krausen that was spewing everywhere. The wife would be pissed. Is it enough to change the sanitizer daily until the aggressive fermentation stops?

Question of sanitation in aggressive fermentation and lots of Krausen!

I have a very full primary and it's aggressively fermenting away! Im very excited, but I am concerned about the blow off in the sanitizer container. There is a lot of krausen fluid mixing into the sanitizer. It's turned a light tan color, and I am worried about the viability of it's sanitizing...

Horrible flow on new false bottom

We're you by chance at the Home-brew Emporium in Weymouth ma? Stopped in today and while I was picking up my grain the guy was telling me about this guy who had a stuck mash during the free ingredient event.

I made a huge mistake, and now I'm paying for it!

Here's an update on the unbalanced IPA situation: I went to the store and bought two different porters and two different, heavily hopped, IPAs and tried mixing them. I didn't care for any of the results, the porters were too malty and it was just too much of two extremes. What I did think of...

I WISH I had a tasting lair! Someday. Right now I call it the kitchen. I agree with your last point. I'm disappointed it didn't come out perfect, but I've also learned a lot since then. ::cheers::

My Brew is good, but something is off... can you help?

Thanks for the advice. That was what I suspected, but just wanted a second opinion. Gentle boils it is! ::cheers::

I made a huge mistake, and now I'm paying for it!

I am done with the primary fermentation. It is just sitting in the primary right now, doing nothing. It has been in there since 2/28/2012. It stopped fermenting 3 days ago, 3/12/2012. After doing some searching, I found that some people mix porters with IPA. I think I'm going to stop by the...

My Brew is good, but something is off... can you help?

That is a very interesting take. During the boil, we were doing a 2.5 gallon boil, we had an issue with the size of the brew kettle and had to turn down the heat; from a vigorous boil, to a less intense boil. It was still 210F and was definitely boiling, but was more gentle then violent...

I made a huge mistake, and now I'm paying for it!

Honestly, I was just looking for a big IPA recipe and that was one that I found that looked good. I have never had a beer from Dick's Brewing Co. The real question is, what do I brew to blend back, and can I get by not doing 5 gallons. The only reason is, if the fix doesn't work I don't want...

I made a huge mistake, and now I'm paying for it!

It is in the primary, but is fully fermented out. It was 1.050 OG and is now fermented out at 1.006. It was brewed on 2/28/12 and I sampled it at the end of fermentation today, 3/14/12. Any ideas as to what I could brew to mix it with? It must be an ale, because I dont have the equipment to...

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a problem. I don't know what type of malaise I had when I made this error, but the fruit of my labor is undrinkable. I mean, it's really bad. Here's the back story. I've only been brewing for a little while, first batch was ok. (Didn't care for the style, was a...
