It is not a timed fill. One momentary switch for purging, then a standard switch for filling. Push on for beer. Push again for off. It is a very simple design. I have sinces switched out the pressure release devices that came with the fillers to just a simple ball valve with back flow...
It is still going. I just did some modifications to it last week. We do about 30 cases of bombers at a time on average. Works pretty good. Not really going to do high volumes with it but for the cost it is for sure a good way to get started. The next one we are looking at is a 4 head automatic...
We can our beers. We have a small 2 head bottler I built but we only use that every once in a while to do bomber cases.
We started canning with company called Mobile Canning. The prices were not too bad and the convenience was great. If you self distribute it works out well.
Our new facility...

The unit was $899 from morebeerpro.com. As for the labels. I believe the company we got it from was Innovative Labeling Solutions. We got the price down pretty nice because we bought 10k labels. 5k for our Vanilla porter and 5k for our Rye Pale Ale.

It has super smooth action. All you need to do is hold the handle and push forward. There is an animation on their website that shows how it works. Momentum Development
Call Perlick. They are pretty good at standing behind their products and making sure you can get parts. I have 4 of their new SS taps. They all leaked. There was a design issue and they changed some of the parts as a result. They sent me out new rebuild kits for mine.
