    Pellicle Photo Collection

    I guess this is Brett. It seems like some of you try to achieve this for sour beers I'm guessing. Mine was unintentional. My question is what to do with it now? It's been sitting for 4 weeks. So do I let it sit longer, bottle it or dump it? Thanks in advance for any advice!

    Infection?

    I pulled some out to take a gravity reading. Tastes fine to me. Not sour or gross by any means. I'm leaning towards bottling it and drinking quickly. Thanks for the replies! You all may have just saved 5 gallons of delicious to mediocre beer for me!! :)

    Can anyone confirm that this is an infection? I was just getting ready to bottle. Been sitting for 3.5 weeks. Took a sample to take gravity reading. Took a couple small sips.     I don't think anybody on here, including myself, is making the case that sanitizing is rocket science. It was an 'oversight' that brought about this question/post. If you haven't had an oversight yet, you haven't been brewing very long. Thanks to everyone else for the ease of mind.

    Bottled a stout the other night. Somehow forgot to sanitize the bottling bucket. I did soak it in oxiclean for a good hour or longer and rinsed well before bottling. Sanitized EVERYTHING else well. Wondering how many of you have made this mistake. And for those that have...was an infection the...
