I'm thinking about switching my kegging setup over to these plastic pub kegs with the sankey D type setup. Has anyone tried them? Can you disassemble the valve to clean them? Also wanna know if the bottle inside can be used without the plastic keg shell. Any input would be great!!!
Oh. And...
my guess is its not fully carbed. the first pour, mostly sediment had a great head on it that coated the glass nicely. second pour had a little less head.
would storing my gas utside the fridge help me achieve better results??
that 30 pis number is for carbing kegs at fermentation temps, no serving temps correct? just tried the set and forget method with an IPA, set for12 psi at 39Deg F and after a week and 3 days its still flat.
What prevents this is having the GFI breaker wires as part of the brewery control panel, and since im the only one who brews im not too worried about it.
So I'm going to wire this right next to my controller eliminating my internal power on/off switch, and just using the "test" button as an Estop. It works. the same as wiring in a remote switch so ill save time and money!
PJ,
I never thought of this my current setup isn't GFI protected, but for
he new setup I think its a wise idea. And it will also give me an opportunity to wire a normally open EStop. I plan on doing this by going from 1 power line through a pair of 1Mohm resistors ( I have to look @ your...
I have a really nice freshly dumped Jim Beam barrel watitng for 53 gallons of beer to be racked in this coming weekend. the two enter hoops have crept outward a bit as the barrel has sat in my basement. has anyone had any luch re seating steel hoops on a barrel?? ive dumped about a half gallon...
I see no issue with just tying the N and G together inside the controller. No code violation there as it is considered an appliance. Rewiring the whole circuit in the basement would be a PITA due to the location of my setup in regards to the panel. I would just add a sub panel for the...
now i should know this, but wanna make sure im corect in my thinking.
I built my E brewery to match my garages wiring and the circut im on is wired for 2 hot 1 N and 1 g, so inside the controller it is wired as such.
i am moving to a new home and will be building the brewery in my...
thanks for the info. ive recieved a bunch of different advice, some of wich maes no sense.
so serving pressure has to be the same as carb pressure correct? otherwise the gas will no remain dissolved in the solution and youll have a lower carb level. makes sense. someone told me once your...
bought a picninc tap for one of my kegs expecting a 5 foot piece of 1/4 line but instead i recieved a 9 foot, 3/16 dia line. dont really know much about what diameters/lengths require what serving pressure. could anyone help??
if it runs anything like a laser engraver, you should be able to import basic clipart or .GIF images and then select the outlines whee you want the cut (not sure what NC control software you use) or could be a .DWG or .DXf file out of autocad/solidowrks.
I guess if youre here you already get the jist of homebrewing, but for those of you who are interested in seeing a group brew or learning some of the hobby this is for you!!
