It was either this of the Stasis, but I haven’t seen the greatest reviews on the Stasis. Unfortunately, the Max 2 is a bit too new to see any reviews. Hopefully this works out for you.

@WESBREW I’m very interested in hearing your thoughts of this once you’ve had a chance to checking things out. I just discovered this unit over the weekend, and it seems to hit all my requirements at a somewhat lower price point.

Haven’t yet but I’m going to. If I can’t get to it this week, I’ll give it a go this weekend. One other question for you. Did you set your mash temp as normal when you did the water test, and then run the auto tune? Do you need to wait until you hit the set temp, or can you do it at any point...

What exactly did you do @NewJersey? I've looked at the post on the FaceBook user group, but the instructions seems somewhat vague.

Are you sure the Alpha Acid percent for your hop additions are accurate? You may need to adjust that based on the defaults being supplied by Brewer’s Friend.

I had a similar dilemma last December. I ended up going with the Kegerator as I wasn’t seeing a huge cost savings with doing a Keezer build. At the end of the day, I could order a Kegerator and have it operational in a fraction of the time it would have taken me to build a Keezer to my liking...

I’ve seen a few on here but not many. I’m in analysis paralysis mode and getting tired of debating myself on the V1 system. I’ve got an electrician coming out on Thu to give me a quote on wiring up a 240v 30 amp circuit. Provided this is somewhat reasonable, I’m buying the thing.

I’ve done small batches in my 5 gal Igloo cooler with no issues. Since I started doing BIAB, I’m not sure I’ll ever go back to mashing in a cooler. Do what you want to do, but the simplicity of BIAB is hard to beat.

Thanks for the information guys. Still don’t get why it was designed the way it was requiring both outlets. Better to know now then after the purchase.

@NewJersey have you had a chance to brew using this yet? Thoughts? I really like this setup, and getting ready to pull the trigger, but have to get a few things set up in the basement first. What can you tell me about the cord length? It needs both a 220v and 110v outlet correct?

I would be very interested in hearing how this works out for you. Been doing loads of research on Electric brewing options, but haven’t really considered this option.

Didn't get any responses to this, so I ended up pulling the trigger on the 1.5 and 2.5 gallon Slimline Torpedo Kegs. Glad I went this route, as I fear stacking two of the 2.5 gallon Torpedo kegs would have been too tight of a fit.
