I usually cover with star-san on foil and was using good sanitization practices...got distracted, getting :confused: had a few more :mug: and woke up :smack: !!!
I'm thinking if I can't smell or taste anything 'off' in the starter it'll be more DIPA and less lambic in the end...

Used would be cheaper but typically less efficient and near it's end of life. I would look for returns or open box freezers on clearance. Know your carboy measurements and measure first. Good luck!

Looks like about $25 in black pipe and a few faucets/shanks. You should absolutely DIY. Upgrade the faucets with the money you're saving.
Those parts should all come threaded from any plumbing supply place... use thread sealant, thread tape, or something similar to prevent marring during...
@HopinJim - funny I was thinking the same thing! Kind of like that brand of guitar strings I used to use, that last for years... that are no longer sold in shops. Hard to drum up repeat business if your product is too good.
