    Magic Hat #9

The store is the only one for about a 90 mile radius...maybe I caught him on a bad day, or he was hoping I was going to challenge him better. I plan on going AG soon and he will be the one I look to for guidance, most likely because he does have a good rep in the area as far as homebrewing goes.

    Tea time?

I am actually drinking a tea brew as I write this reply. I planned on brewing an Octoberfest(extract) last month and realized the kit I purchased was short on the grains. Thus, after some consternation, I went through the cupboards, found some flavored teas and steeped those tea bags(10-12)...

    Magic Hat #9

I ventured to my local store and asked about a #9 clone and the owner rolled his eyes as he handed me a Pale Ale kit and a bottle of Apricot beer flavorings. I like their beers, but my SWMBO loves them!!! I am more of a Hippa fan when it comes to Magic Hat.

I did a little brewing a decade ago, but lost touch with hobby until now. I have a couple of carboys, kegs, and time to brew. Bring on the ALES!!!! B

    Tapped her with no gas!!

I am waiting for a co2 attachment to come in the mail early this week. I pulled six or seven pints off the keg last night and it tasted wonderful...I plan to go pull a few more after I finish this reply. I will do my best to "kill" the keg in as little time as possible. B

    Tapped her with no gas!!

The title of the thread could have been a little worse.....I could have incorporated someones family member and some keglube, but this site does seem family friendly.

    Tapped her with no gas!!

What is the worst that will happen to my liquid gold by filling a few pitchers before my Co2 supplies arrive early next week? I primed the keg and it has been sitting for about two weeks and the first few glasses are very tasty. It is only a five gallon keg that is not quite full and friends...
