    Another water question

Thanks AJ. It's starting to make sense and come together. I'll work on hitting the right pH (and measuring it) in a number of batches to see if I can detect any improvement. I'll also not worry about the Mg - I wouldn't want to be guilty of such a terrible crime. Thanks for all your help...

    Another water question

To follow up on Martin's point about the Mg, it makes sense that blending my hard and soft waters for brewing 'soft water' beers would achieve the goal nicely of reducing Mg without raising Na of Cl too much(assuming RO water is not easy to get and that I can get my pH issues under control)...

    Another water question

Thanks AJ. I don't typically brew anything very soft, so I won't worry about the hardness for now, as I need to keep things simple to see if I can notice a difference in my beers just through adjusting alkalinity. (I think part of my problem is that I still can't really detect slight changes in...

    Another water question

Hi everyone, I think this is my first post, although I have been reading extensively through all of the forums for a long time now (I have probably read the forums every day for the past couple of years). I've been brewing AG (both 5 gal BIAB and using cooler mash tun) and have come to the...
