    Brew belt or heat pad?

Didnt even think of a seed mat, plus i could get my wife on board because she does a lot of organic gardening and starts everything from seed. 2-for-1 purchase there

    Brew belt or heat pad?

Don't have a fermentation chamber so its sitting in the warmest room on the floor. Was just thinking I could get a belt for half the price, then wrap a blanket around it if I had to to bring the temp up easier

    Brew belt or heat pad?

Any preference between the two, need something to warm up fermentation in the winter. If the brew belt works fine I'll get that because of the prices on eBay.

    Critique- Pumpkin Saison

I was reading a bunch of things about pumpkin beers and alot of guys suggested using 6 row because something about it complements the pumpkin but doesnt "flavor it" the way 2-row does. They also suggested it in cream ales multiple times. I traded a few random grains for it and thought since...

Does racking help to prevent bottle bombs?

had a bottle explode so hard last night it actually took out the bomber bottle next to it. wife wasn't happy when I charged the next room pistol in hand at 2am so I know racking is not essential and I believe the reason my bottles blew up (2nd time , two different batches) is that I've not...

    some over carbonation in bottles

    some over carbonation in bottles

Ill try to explain this as best I can but it's not making much sense to me. Made an english nut brown close to two months ago. Split some Mangrove Jack yeast with a friend. Let it sit in primary for 3 weeks and then in secondary for about 10 days I believe. After being in bottle for about...

    What to upgrade next?

Told the wife the plan...got a look. As long as I keep her stocked in English browns I'm sure she'll be ok. Now let's go shopping Sent from my iPad using Home Brew

    What to upgrade next?

Ferm. Chamber would be high on the list since right now. It just ferments at room.temp. usually not a problem except for last winter. I might just set most aside so when we do get a house I can splurge on a keg set up. Been thinking all day and I'm.thinking maybe a better/ more accurate...

    What to upgrade next?

almost forgot, I dont have room for a kegging system yet because of the small house im in now. That would without a doubt be my next purchase but its out of the question for now, if by chance I have a new house come december, keg system it will be

    What to upgrade next?

I've been all grain brewing for a little under a year and have a good enough set up, standard 10-gal cooler, decent burner, corona style mill, cheapish 7.5 gal aluminum pot, I batch sparge and do ice baths to cool my wort, which I have 24 hour access to a huge ice machine. This December I...
