upright freeze has coils in the shelves, my keezer build

Well, I'd build some sort of stand and turn the freezer the same way as a chest freezer. Just make sure the hot side coil (if there is one on the back side of the freezer) isn't enclosed so it can release the heat properly. You're risking far less this way (when it is a useless thing now) than...

Aging beer: Facts, myths, and discussion

+1 on both crash cooling and gelatine adding. I used only primary fermenter and fermented for about 10 days at 17-18°C (63-65°F) then added a tablespoon of gelatine, crashed it to 4-5°C (40-41°F) and let it sit for about a week. Since I bottle, I racked it to a bucket, added 135g (4,75oz) of...

    Environmental friendly brewing...

Thanks, The Pol at least one who understood what this thread was about. Not about being green by all means necessary, but rather about what makes the brewing process more efficient and possibly green. If you are sceptic i don't mind. It wasn't the purpose of this thread to discuss the global...

    Bottle washer and sanitizer project

Ok, I know that it's been a while but i've been a bit busy. But my bottle washer and sanitizer is done. :ban: I had a little trouble finding the right sized tub. I cut an opening (didn't have proper tools so it looks really nasty :o) at one side then glued a little plastic bucket/pot thing there...

Make your own precision SS temperature probe

Hi, this is a great idea but i'd like to point out something. Isn't the epoxy toxic? I just took a look on my tube of epoxy and it said a ton of warnings. I would be aware of using anything that is not rated as food safe especially at elevated temperatures. Other than that I like the idea of...

    Bottle washer and sanitizer project

I have tried it on shower outlet and it worked ok. I had to squeze the middle of the nozzles so i got same height spray from all nozzles. Here is the photo: And about the scratches. Yes, there is a chance but by paying a little attention when putting bottles on the nozzles you should be ok...
