Not quite.
I believe what this time indicates is more to do with how often it samples the temperature that it feeds into the control algorithm. I believe it is originally designed for running a compressor for a cooling system. From what I've read, the compressor will burn out if it switches...
I use SBE for brewing and fermenting. For fermenting I use a small space heater, which by itself obviously only uses one relay, and I use the hysteresis mode for this. I also have a second output and hystersis control loop that I use for a sous vide crock pot and fermenting yogurt. For...
The solid state relays have indicator lights to show when they are active - I don't know if that solve your wanting to know when everything is running, but you could run a bunch of SSRs with indicator LEDs if you want to save yourself on some wiring, or Adafruit and others have LED/relay module...
Thanks for your insight.
As for the bug reporting, I will look into it. I guess that the very recent discussions on this board indicated to me that this might be the place to discuss the issues, but I hadn't come across the reddit for SBE.
I was able to fix the switches this morning. I had...
So I did a fresh install and got everything running the way it was before. I still have the following issues with the UI:
Modifications to the gauge sizes for the various temp sensors do not save after restarting SB
I can add switches, but the buttons do not respond in the browser. They do...
Yeah, I was wondering if I shouldn't try that at this point - this is a dedicated pi, so I'm not too worried about starting over. Which distro are people having the most success with, then?
I have had two successful brew days with SBE and decided it was time to fully convert my Electric Brewery type control panel to an SBE box (delete two PID controllers, several buttons and a bunch of copper). Switching to the digital temperature probes (and adding a third because why not)...
