Thank you all for your help. Hoping this will be the last time I have to bottle alone lol. Eventually I'll get to kegging my big batches. The thing I'm learning the most on here is to try to relax and it worry. As long as I sanitize everything. It's kinda hard to mess up beer lol
Brewed my first batch 2 weeks ago
. (All grain hefeweizen) checked fg and fermentation is done and ready to bottle. Unfortunately with covid-19 my partner can't come to help me bottle. I've already taken my fermenter out of my ice bath(fermenter at 64) and it is now slowly raising to ambient...
Thank you. I'm glad to be part of the brew-munity!! I'm going to just follow the kit and keep the temps low. Still have the blow tube in. Krausen has fallen but I'm still getting an air bubble every 2-3 seconds. Put airlock back in or just leave blow tube in until fermentation is done? I don't...
Just brewed my 1st beer 48 hrs ago. The yeast I'm using (safbrew wb-06) says ferment between 64°-75°. The kit says ferment between 62°-64°. I have my fermenter in a water bath. Water temp is 62° and stick on thermometer says 64°. I'm getting plenty of yeast action. Constant bubbling thru blow...
Finally took the leap and bought an electric kettle all grain kit from MoreBeer. It's the digiboil 35l 220v version. And I'm going all in. 1st kit is all grain and currently boiling as we speak. Been doing lots of reading and I have tons more to do but I can follow a recipe so I'm optimistic...
I got the 35l 220v digiboil with all grain kit from Morebeer. Money wise it was what I could afford as I get started in this hobby. Figured this would help me start and perfect the process. I can always upgrade equipment at a later time
So I can follow the recipe and not worry about messing something up like sparging by using the bag? I know some people will say just do biab and I'm sure I will at some point. I just wanted to do this one step by step by the recipe.
Long time lurker. Finally took the plunge and brought an electric kettle all grain kit from one of the big brew stores. Tomorrow is going to be my first brew. I'm nervous and anxious. My question is can I use a brew bag inside the malt tube to make clean up easier? I want to go thru the process...
I have found another option that may work better for me and that's the use of a spa panel. For those interested here's the wiring going from 4 wire dryer outlet to connect to 3 wire electric kettle plug and keep it GFCI protected.
