I dont know if the UPS calculator on their website is correct, but it is telling me $75.

Massachusetts 5-10G All grain setup with pump and chiller

The cheapest one I could find new was 140$, so $60 seems reasonable? One thing I forgot to mention is that when I bought it, it came with a lid that was for a bigger sized pot. I never had a problem using it but it is wider than the pot.

Massachusetts 5-10G All grain setup with pump and chiller

Using the ups website it said $50. I think to sell it used given its $60 new probably wouldn’t make sense.

$500 for everything. I have a preference to sell it all together, but individual items are OK. My current pricing is based on 50% of what it would cost new. 15G Stainless boil kettle with 3-part ball valve 7G Aluminum kettle with 3-part ball valve Both of these are from Morebeer, and have only...

What is your fav. way to clear your palate for next type of beer?

Why bother? Just drink it the new beer until you get the full flavor. Even with a "clean palate" it takes a few sips to really experience the full flavor anyway.

Have I turned into a HopHead?

Before last weekend I would have said that while I enjoy drinking IPAs I don't like them. I have had several tastings of different IPAs, and in November I brewed my own - a mildy powerful dry hopped IPA. Well, last weekend I was out at a restaurant and the most interesting thing on the menu...

    Temperature control: peltier?

Definitely not. But a carboy will just barely fit. A lot of the cheaper wine coolers will also have thermoelectric cooling. The problem is that this kind of cooler has several limitations - minimum temperature limitations and limited ability to cool down large thermal mass. I think the...

    Distilled water!

But when it comes to water "science" I would bet more people start looking into it because of problems rather then because its fun. I understand the mentality that the distilled water discussion can be overly complicated - but that's not true for everyone. Some people have bad water and need...

How good is your beer? (really!)

Actually, to really answer this question, the only standardized test is competitions (or at least the best test out there). Most of the good craft brew places that I have been to will have won multiple awards with their beer. I am guessing most homebrewers with "amazing" beer have not (like...
