    Show us your Kegerator

They are really good taps (with flow control), and a nice foaming action if you push rather than pull on them. Really works well for stouts! If you search on the UK ebay for Normannumpa, he is the main guy over here, and where I got my taps from.

Maris Otter is just a variety grown here in the UK.

    Next batch: Gruagach Scottish Ale

I am doing this one next weekend. What temperature would you say to mash at and for how long?

American Porter Bee Cave Brewery Robust Porter

Did this without the maltodextrin, and with a hop change (did it with what I could get hold of at the LHBS). 50g Fuggles @ 0min 60g Saaz @ 30 min 10g Saaz @ 50 min Had heard good things about Saaz in a porter and did not want it to get 'lost'. Do you think this will be ok? I think the...

    Aluminium keggle conversion question

Cheers for the replies. I just was worrying about it being poisonous (maybe when heated), but I guess it wouldn't be if it is in contact with the beer?

    Aluminium keggle conversion question

I am just wondering if the coating (looks like it is painted), will be an issue? Especially when the burner is on full blast?

    Aluminium keggle conversion question

I am really looking forward to going all grain, but think I may have hit a stumbling block. I have just cut the lid off an aluminium (I think) keg and noticed a coating inside of a tan coloured layer (I assume to protect the beer). Does this need to come off, or is it okay to stay on? I am...

    priming with molasses

I have primed with treacle with a kit bitter (it was worth a shot, as it really was bland and needed 'something'). I just boiled it up in a pan with some water, and a small bit of dark brown sugar. It gave it a wonderful liquorice taste, but was not overpowering. Managed to save the beer :)

How many gallons of EdWort's Apfelwein have been made?

All we have to do now is go for the 10,000 imperial gallons (12,010 us gallons). Congrats EdWort, and thanks for the recipe :)

Sourcing a Keg for Keggle - UK

That would be cracking :) I am new to AG, and have only done kits/Apfelwein before, so am I right in assuming I only need 1 (for boiling the mash/sparge water, then the boil of the wort)? I hark from Bolton, and will be up that way over the Crimbo period. I could pick up on the way home, if...

Sourcing a Keg for Keggle - UK

I am having a real issue finding a way to get a legitimate keg in the UK. I live in Leicester and have tried Everards, but they have a contract for all their old ones. Does anyone know a good, cheap, and easy source for a second hand keg?

How many gallons of EdWort's Apfelwein have been made?

9911.5 + 6 = 9917.5 (5 Imperial Gallons Made with Champagne Yeast, and a touch of pear, and 3lb table sugar)

    Apple and Pear TC

Its just really to give it a bit of fizz and some pressure in the barrel to keep it flowing. I will probably use table sugar now. Is 1oz per gallon about right to get it sparkling? Ta for the patience (totally new to cider).
