decent neighbor hoods are Toluca Lake, Glendale, Pasadena... bad neighbor hoods are Van Nuys, Watts, Compton. Azusa is really close to Pasadena. In Eaglerock there is a great LHBS.
To the original poster... I live in Los Angeles and what I have been doing is I use cooler and 3 bags of ice. I then put 4 gallons of water in the cooler. I then pump the water to a plate chiller and then back into the cooler. With this I can take 5 gallons of wort from 200 degrees down to 58...
I use Grogtag often. The labels are high quality looking and work well when they are tossed into a cooler full of ice water. But the only downside to them is that they are super expensive.
So I have been wanting to do this recipe for awhile and I finally got around to it. I used 8 peppers. I roasted them on the grill then soaked them in vodka. I used 4 in the boil and 4 in the secondary with some of the vodka to give it extra heat. I just moved this to tertiary last night, so...

Can't wait for this beer. My company is...

yeah I think I like the suggestion of making a consume to get the flavor out of it and I decided to switch to cool ranch flavor. Should be interesting. I will keep you all posted.
Hey everyone, I have been thinking about trying to make this for a while and wonder what everyone thinks about the idea of it? I was thinking that I would do an american light ale as my base and then dry hop crushed doritos in the secondary for flavor. Is this a bad idea?
I have the MWS cream ale in my primary right now. It turned out a little darker than I was expecting it to. According to their catalog it is supposed to be lighter than their Honey Ale but that is just straight out wrong.
