I just did an American Wheat extract batch and my fermentation room is in the low 60's as well. I used US-05 and it has been chugging right along. So you should be ok using the suggested yeast. Maybe just put something in between the fermentor and the floor to keep it up off the cold floor. I'm...
Would be very beneficial for me to own this piece of equipment because I don't have much time to clean. I have to do stuff as fast as I can because of my two young children always needing my supervision. So this would help me clean my carboys much faster and let me spend more time with my boys...
Well Ron I'll tell you right now. Once you get started it's hard to stop lol. I've only been a member of this site for about a year, and I've bought more items than I've needed thus far. It's more of an addiction than it is a hobby. :drunk: But I enjoy every minute that I spend doing this hobby...

On Amazon you could get a 6 gallon glass carboy for $30 with free shipping. Here is the link I just looked up http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002VFXW5W/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

I have to agree with Hoppopotomus on this. So a gorgeous piece, and it's being wasted on serving someone else's brew. You gotta get to brewing for sure. If you can make something as nice as that, you can definitely brew your own beer. Even if it is just extract it's still your own. :mug:
