    UV Freezer Bags

    Yep punctured...hops fill the bag at that point and loose a ton of its lupulin in loose form.. I was using Walmart brand, picked up some Rival and has made an improvement..Quality is better..thanx. The home made compression unit is working very well..Actually much better than I thought...

    So first Year Hop Growers - how'd it turn out ?

    Ok I will post my results so far..In relation to the above post I am in the same region..Yorkville IL. So here we go.. Willamette- going strong, 15ft high and bushy...lots of side arms..had to trim 'em to keep them in check..like the softunderbelly some leaf wilt during these very hot days...

    Hops almost ready

    Yea it was the best I could find...You would want the tips of the cone leaves to be a little more on the brown side...if you look closely you will see they are turning slightly off color and in another week would be brown at the tips..from what I have been reading if you let them brown too much...
