I forgot to mention...usually the highest ranking judges are the ones who judge the BOS round, as well. Unless he had a beer entered in the comp that took 1st (I doubt he did), then I would imagine that he had a hand in on picking your beer as 2nd BOS, as well. I could be jumping to...
Congrats to you as well! Nothing like getting a good score from a high ranking judge. I'd rather get a decent score from a good judge than an awesome score from a bad judge. Well, as long as they both come with medals, of course. ;-)

Cool. Thanks. I had a group of guys from my hb club over for mead day and we made different stuff but let the wives make the JAO. It's sitting on the kitchen counter still and I look at it all the time. I can see progress but it still has a long way to go. Thank you for the reply!
How long does it usually take to clear up? Mine is almost a month old and it's still quite murky. Tons of sediment on the bottom but not clear by any means.
