    Electric build in progress

I felt it was easier to unplug that way rather than the recessed version , that way I don't have to turn upside down to see the bottom of the panel just to line up the plugs. Plus it was extremely cheaper this way

    Electric build in progress

So after packing up, moving and unpacking , which took waayy to long, finally got set up in my new garage. There's no plumbing in this one due to it being detached but it does have heat and cable tv . It didn't have adequate power so I ran a new 60A service out there from the house, about 40ft...

Got this SPDT switch mounted under the bench , it's rated at 40A but it's not rated as an overload protection, I didn't mind because I have protection at the panel. cost $17 @ the Depot. It gives me the opportunity to kill power completely at the control box without having to go down to the basement

Screwed up hole for my element

Doh! I did the same thing and sealed it with a stainless conduit plug along with a high temp gasket. It was about $20 through Grainger.

Thanks, only 30A . We thought about possibly going that route to brew two beers at the same time but opted not to due to cost. We can always fire up the propane for hot water to accomplish that .

    1949 GE Fridge makeover

Nope, I set the internal thermostat to run @ 42 and it holds solid, I hardly hear the compressor kick on ever. I could be wrong on the date, I Googled the model number and that's what I found; it's on the internet it must be true!

    1949 GE Fridge makeover

So I found a guy in Toledo that bought a house and wanted this old fridge out of the basement, I offered him $100 and the rest is history. Stripped it down to it's bare bones, re-wired it, replaced gaskets, painted inside with appliance paint and had a friend spray it with automotive black and...

Thanks for the compliment, they are cord grips on the bottom. I'm going to hang female plugs instead of recessed receptacles. It gives me the ease of not having to bend over upside down to plug/unplug things. I am still using twist lock receptacles though
