Thanks for the reply. I think I'll play around with a partial boil extract for my first 5 gallon, and see what the local homebrew shop can hook me up with.
How do you go about shaking up the carboy after pitching the yeast to mix the water, wort, and yeast up?
I'm beginning to wrap my head around home brewing more and more after doing a few successful one gallon all grain brews. I would like to step up to 5 gallon brews now that my cheap ass found a 5 g glass carboy in my grandpas basement.
