So here is my problem that I seek the wisdom of the forum... I brewed a batch of Brown Ale on Saturday night using an extract kit form my local. I was using WL yeast and brewed exactly like I always do. Since then I have seen no activity in the air lock. I have not taken a hydrometer...

I will throw my opinion in here. I wanted a Mr. Beer kit for Christmas last year and the wife went all out and got a full starter kit. Best gift I ever got. I would go with a starter kit for extract brew. He will love it and you will be a hero!!!!!

I want to move to glass carboys, so this will send me over the top.

This is the label for my "Bruiser Blueberry" It was a Blueberry Wheat and I took it to my Brother in Laws house for Easter. He is the Blueberry Bruiser. Everyone loved it.

Just made a Blueberry Wheat Ale and it turned out pretty good. I brewed the wheat beer from extract and allowed it to ferment for 3 weeks. Then I transferred it to a secondary on to 2 large bags (40ozs each) of Frozen Blueberries. I steeped the blueberries in just a bit of water to sanitize...
